Children Learn About HR, Sales and the E-Business Industry

Herndon, VA – April 24, 2008 – Today, Network Solutions, a leading provider of e-business solutions for small businesses, hosts an annual “Take a Child to Work Day,” giving children of employees a chance to participate in an interactive day with a full schedule of learning based programs.

The event is open to children between the ages of eight and 14. Throughout the day, there will be seven different sessions lasting 45 minutes each, giving children an opportunity to better understand key functions of their parent’s company.  The session topics range from creating a Web page and talking through the interviewing process with the human resource department to learning how to generate revenue from the Sales team.  Other sessions will describe Network Solutions and the e-business industry.
 
“Learning more about the workplace can be a valuable experience at any age“, said Michele Krisanda, SVP of Network Solutions Corporate Communications. “We set out to create a fun agenda for our employees’ children and give them an opportunity to learn about Network Solutions and about their parent’s occupation.”

Many Network Solutions employees have volunteered to spend a portion of their workday to host the children, which is a true testament to the community and work environment that is encouraged at Network Solutions.
